Curricular Tracks & Outcomes

The software engineering curriculum uses an intensive 60–70% laboratory focus structured into four program levels:

Basic Certificate (2–3 Months)

Covers foundational syntax, basic scripting, and fundamental execution logic.

Professional Diploma (6 Months)

Focuses on object-oriented development, core database architecture, and basic web application layers.

Advanced Software Development Program (9–12 Months)

Covers enterprise architectural concepts, backend system building, and multi-tier automated testing suites.

Full-Stack Developer Program (12 Months)

Focuses on production-grade mastery spanning from front-end UI/UX layers up to cloud-native DevOps automated deployment pipelines.

Module-by-Module Technical Breakdown

Module 1: Introduction to Software Development

Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) models, software application classifications, development environment assembly, industry standards, and Agile vs. Waterfall comparative methodologies.

Module 2: Programming Fundamentals

Variables, constants, data types, arithmetic/logical/bitwise operators, conditional flow control, loop structures (for, while, do-while), functions scope, arrays, collections frameworks, and error exception management. Languages utilized include Python, Java, JavaScript, and C#.

Module 3: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Classes and objects architecture, encapsulation modifiers, inheritance models, polymorphism interfaces (overriding and overloading), abstract classes, loose coupling mechanisms, and a foundational overview of SOLID design principles.

Module 4: Data Structures & Algorithms

Linear structures (arrays, linked lists), stack and queue operations, non-linear structures (trees, graphs), hash tables collision resolution, sorting and searching algorithms, and Big O notation time and space complexity evaluations.

Module 5: Database Development

Relational database normalization standards (1NF to 3NF), ER diagrams schema design, advanced SQL queries, multi-table joins, views, stored procedures, triggers, and indexes. Database engines utilized include MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MS SQL Server alongside a structural study of Document Stores and Key-Value NoSQL architectures, database scaling, replication, and sharding.

Module 6: Web Development Fundamentals

Semantic HTML5 layouts, modern CSS3 responsive styling grid systems, vanilla JavaScript DOM manipulation, asynchronous promises (async/await), and single-page application (SPA) front-end frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js).

Module 7: Back-End Development & APIs

REST API architectural principles, secure authentication pipelines (JWT, OAuth2), session management, cookies, secure file uploads handling, and enterprise middleware pipeline request interception using Node.js, Spring Boot, or ASP.NET Core.

Module 8: Version Control & Collaboration

Git fundamentals (commits, hashes, tree structures), branching strategies (GitFlow vs. Trunk-Based), merging, rebasing, conflict resolution routines, pull requests, code reviews compliance, and team collaboration setups across GitHub and GitLab repositories.

Module 9: Software Testing & Quality Assurance

Unit testing, code isolation mocking, integration testing, system testing, regression monitoring, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) frameworks, Test-Driven Development (TDD) workflows, and automated testing suites execution via JUnit and Selenium.

Module 10: Software Design & Architecture

Creational, structural, and behavioral design patterns, Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture patterns, Microservices architecture distributed environments, clean code refactoring, advanced SOLID implementations, Dependency Injection, and Inversion of Control (IoC) frameworks.

Module 11: DevOps & Continuous Deployment

CI/CD pipeline automated configurations, build automation artifact management, containerization architecture using Docker, orchestration cluster management via Kubernetes, production monitoring, system observability, and log collection analytics.

Module 12: Cloud Computing Infrastructure

Cloud service paradigms (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), virtual machines compute allocation, object/block/file storage solutions, and serverless event-driven computing execution environments across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

Module 13: Cybersecurity Basics

Secure coding practices, cryptographic standards (hashing, salting, symmetric/asymmetric encryption), OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities identification and mitigation, API gateway rate limiting security, and automated vulnerability assessments.

Module 14: Agile Project Frameworks

Scrum framework roles and rituals, sprint planning, backlog grooming, user story sizing estimations, and sprint retrospectives continuous improvements tracking.

Module 15: Capstone Projects Gallery

Students must complete a full-stack production application from the following options:

E-Commerce Ecosystem

Features catalog state management, secure checkout gateway processing, and real-time inventory level adjustments.

Inventory Management Portal

Features supply chain tracking across multi-warehouse configurations, low-stock webhook alert triggers, and compliance audit logs.

Online Learning Hub

Features video streaming delivery, multi-tier enrollment tracking, and dynamic quiz generation engines.

Hospital Management System

Features role-based encrypted access control, medical record compliance encryption, and appointment scheduling algorithms.

Core Banking Application

Enforces strict ACID transaction compliance, double-entry ledger balance safety, statement exports, and multi-factor authentication (MFA) controls.

Employee Management System

Features live organizational charts, payroll computation logic, and custom HR workflow authorization rules.
